Offered for sale is this rare, limited production 2007 Mercedes-Benz R63 AMG finished in classic Black over Black Leather. With only about 300 units worldwide and ~30 for the US market, the R63 is perhaps the rarest of the late-model AMG models. Only produced for one year in 2007, the R63 is Mercedes-Benz’s chest-thumping answer to the Minivan; a six-seater family cruiser equipped with a snarling 6.2L AMG V8 producing over 500 horsepower.
A 2016 article from Road & Track Magazine titled ‘The Million-Dollar Collectors Car of the Future Will Be a Mercedes Minivan’ says “R63s that do make it will be incredibly collectible. This desirable, low-mileage R63 is in excellent condition overall with no modifications from stock specifications. Clean Carfax, no accidents, excellent dealership service history.
EXTERIOR: 8.5/10 – The black paintwork is in great shape overall. Factory 20” wheels fill the wheel wells and give the informed a hint at what lurks beneath the hood. An AMG-specific front bumper and badging are subtle and sporty. A handful of small imperfections are detailed in the gallery.
INTERIOR: 9.5/10 - The interior of this R63 is in stunning shape overall with nearly no wear. AMG- badged sport seats up front are bolstered well and trimmed with alcantara and perforated leather. The R63 provides luxurious seating for six passengers with plenty of room for cargo. The rear seats fold down to provide additional cargo space accessible through the powered liftgate. Loaded with features including Navigation, Back-Up Camera, Park Sensors, and Heated Seats with Power Lumbar. The only notable flaw on the interior is a small nick on the rear driver side interior door panel (pictured in gallery).
DRIVETRAIN: 10/10 – The handbuilt 6.2L V8 is the star of the Mercedes Hotrod Minivan. Catapulting the heavy vehicle to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds, the R63 is no slouch! The seven-speed automatic transmission is standard AMG-fare and performs well in both performance driving and relaxed cruising. Enormous AMG brakes stop the R63 impressively and look menacing behind the large 5-spoke AMG alloys.
