Offered for sale is this 1996 Chevrolet Suburban K1500 finished in Cherry Red Metallic over a custom Black/Red leather Virginia Tech-themed interior. This eight-generation Suburban was sold new in Pennsylvania in May 1996 and remained with the original owner until 2005. The truck resided in PA with its second and third owners until 2015 when the third owner moved to Virginia where it remained until this year. The sale comes with two keys, some service records, and parts receipts. A Carfax report is provided in the gallery.


This Suburban was modified within the last few years by the prior owner to represent Virginia Tech at sporting events and other functions. Modifications include fender flares, Rough Country lift kit, 33x12.5” Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires, Moto Metal wheels, full custom leather interior, upgraded audio system and more. Thousands invested - copies of available records are included in the gallery.


The Cherry Red Metallic paint is believed to be original and presents in good shape overall with wear commensurate with mileage. Please see the gallery for detailed images of the exterior condition. A Rough Country lift kit paired with fender flares help to accommodate large 33” Mickey Thompson tires and 17” Moto Metal wheels in black finish. Aftermarket headlight with LED rings and LED taillights.


The interior of this Suburban has been completely modified for true Virginia Tech fans only! The seating surfaces, door panels, center console and rear hatch area trim have been recovered in supple, genuine black leather with red inserts. The seats are contrasted with Virginia Tech colors including orange piping and logos (which are backlit and controllable by remote). The carpet has been replaced with custom red carpeting throughout and the headliner are trimmed in red suede.


In car electronics have been upgraded to include a new Double DIN headunit, Focal and Memphis speakers, headrest screens, back up camera, remote start, and a hard-wired battery tender. All interior functions are working as they should (AC/Heat/Radio).


This Suburban is equipped with a 5.7L Short Block V8 mated to an automatic transmission. 4WD Equipped. A custom exhaust and intake have been fitted. In good mechanical order -- runs, drives and stops very well.
