Offered for sale is this restored 1981 Citroen 2CV finished in Beige Nevada (074) over Tan Patterned Velour interior. This 1981 model is fitted with the largest engine offered for the 2CV run, a 602cc air-cooled Flat 2 Cylinder mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. 85,381 miles shown – believed actual. This 2CV has most recently spent time in a Maryland-based collection and is sold with a Clean MD title.
The Citroen 2CV, or “Deux Chevaux,” was produced by French automaker Citroen from 1948 – 1988. The 2CV was originally designed post-WW2 to be a ‘car of the people’ like the VW Beetle; its goal being low-cost, reliability, good fuel consumption, and ease of maintenance. A number of updates were introduced during its production run including a number of different engines and body configuration – including the inboard front disc brakes added for this 1981 model.
This 2CV presets in excellent condition inside, outside and underneath and is in great running order. The roll-up top easily folds back for open-air motoring (rear window is glass).
