Original California car first delivered to Vasek Polak BMW in Hermosa Beach, CA.

This black/black E21 has only 35,000 original miles and is in pristine condition. 4 speed manual gearbox.

The E21 was penned by famed BMW designer Paul Bracq and this is the origin story for the vaunted 3 series.

The stout 4cyl M20 2.0 litre engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection provided 110 hp/112 lb-ft. in the U.S. market.

This time capsule of a car still maintains all of its original emissions equipment.

This E21 features rare factory sport options including Recaro seats, sports steering wheel and Bosch driving lights. Note the original “Roundel” still prominently showing on the top of the seats.

Originality abounds with this remarkable car. The pinstripes were hand-painted in period and still display the year “’79” and the artist’s initials near the trunk lid edge.

Factory sunroof operates flawlessly with tilt or full open functionality.

Unblemished dash, carpets, seats, door cards, headliner, etc. are all a testament to the preservation of this 320i. Truly remarkable.

Engine bay is factory correct, neat and tidy. Take a close look at every bolt, fastener and clamp to truly appreciate the originality and condition throughout.

The original paint outshines anything currently on offer from Munich with a deep gloss that looks even better in person than in photos.
Model Year 1979 featured chrome side mirrors and an analog clock (which works!), two details which would disappear the following year. See also original Blaupunkt stereo/cassette.

The car was originally purchased and owned by a well known organic farmer in California where it was lovingly maintained and then stored. In 2014 the car was re-commissioned with no expense spared including new fuel tank, fuel pump(s), fuel lines, brake lines, all hoses, belts, bushings, clutch master cylinder, battery, etc.

The next upgrades included new Bilstein front struts and shocks, H&R rear sport springs and shocks, heim joint rod ends, and Prothane suspension bushings throughout. A beautiful set of O.Z. Alpina style wheels with new Dunlop tires (195 50R 15 front; 205 50R 15 rear) complete the athletic stance.

In the trunk you will note the complete and original factory took kit as well as the original spare wheel/tire.

Further upgrades include European center lights with H-1 bulbs and an Ansa sport muffler. OEM muffler included with the car. Cocoa mats with black/blue pattern add a perfect period touch to the spotless interior.

The AC system has been retrofitted for R134 and blows ice cold. It’s ready for any climate.

This amazing E21 comes with both sets of keys, all books and promotional materials, and all records and ownership history.

Car also includes a fitted indoor car cover as it deserves to be pampered.
