Offered for sale is this classic 1969 BMW 2002 5-Speed finished in Red over Black Vinyl. In excellent condition overall, this 2002 was purchased in 2013 by local MD-based collector from an enthusiast in New York. The prior owner kept and maintained the BMW in private collection from 2013-2019. Records are available from 2011 through recent servicing. Runs and drives beautifully - ready to enjoy. Restored and maintained over time/as-needed, this 2002 features a slew of upgrades and service as follows:
Engine: Rebuilt in 2013 with new pistons (9.5:1 Compression Ratio). Dual weber carbs and Schrick Cam added from Korman Autoworks. New clutch and flywheel. 5-Speed Manual.
Suspension: Bilstein HD Struts, New strut bearings, IE stage 1 springs, IE fixed camber plates, IC poly bushing kit (except diff mount), IC sway bars (front and rear)
Brakes: Rebuilt front calipers, new rear brakes (wheel cylinders, springs, clips, shoes), IE stainless brake lines, new e-brake cables, front pads, front wheel bearings and races, brake fluid
Body/Chassis: Older repaint in excellent condition, crack free dash, front and rear subframes and strust housings bead blasted and painted, new rear subframe bushings, drivers side motor mount reinforced, battery moved to trunk with kill switch, 3-point rear strut brace
Extras: Yokohama 185/60/R14 tires removed in favor of a 185/70 tire, 2-barrel carb with intake, single carb with intake, original battery tray (front), optional MOMO black-leather wheel with red stitch available, original jack and spare, and repair manual.

Schrick 292 Cam for 4 Cylinder Engines - This is our favorite all around street performance Schrick camshaft. It is a strong step up from the Schrick 284 camshaft. With our competition Stage 2 modifications, it will produce about 160 H.P. with the dual Weber DCOE’s. It does not require cutting for piston to valve clearance and works with side draft or downdraft carburetion. It also works well with A/C equipped 2002’s. 292 degrees of duration with 10.0mm of lift.
