Offered for sale is this 1967 BMW 2000CS 4-Speed finished in a custom Metallic Brown over a Black interior. This 2000CS came out of a local, private collection where it has been treated to thousands of dollars in major servicing and restoration. Recent work within the last 500 miles includes: complete restoration of both the front and rear subframes and associated suspension components, new springs and suspension bushings, new brakes (calipers, pads, rotors), new Pirelli P7 tires, ST Suspension front and rear sway bars, oil/filter, brake fluid flush, new trunk floor/trim, new interior carpeting, and a preemptive application of POR-15 to common rust-areas in shock towers. Please see the gallery for extensive imaging of the undercarriage (email for more images). Other recent work includes: new valve guides, new alternator, new starter, new clutch slave and master cylinders, new driveline flex-disc, Radiator re-core, Carburetor rebuild, belts, and new axle boots. Modifications are limited to an aftermarket steering wheel, Simpson seat belts, and 14" Alpina wheels. This 2000CS is an excellent driver as it sits and presents an excellent opportunity to simply drive and enjoy as-is or to bring to the next level.
The BMW wears an older Metallic Brown repaint which presents in good condition overall. There are a handful of imperfections commensurate with age; please see the gallery for detailed imaging of the paint, lights, and exterior trim. The black interior is in good condition overall and the carpeting is new. The dash is showing some cracking - a common occurrence on this model. Please see the gallery for detailed images of the interior including seating surfaces, wood, switches, and gauges. The 2.0L 4-Cylinder is fed by a pair of Weber Carburetors; it fires up with immediacy and runs and drives very nicely; please see the video below for a ride-along and walk around.
