"This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle received a body-off refurbishment approximately 400 miles ago with a repaint in its original Bahama Blue over a gray cloth and cream vinyl interior. The car is powered by a 1.2-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes 15? wheels with chrome hubcaps, chrome bumpers with overriders, dual exhaust, and a Sapphire I radio. This Beetle is now offered by the selling dealer in Maryland with an owner’s manual, a Stiftung AutoMuseum Volkswagen certificate, refurbishment records and photos, and a clean North Carolina title.


The body received repairs and was repainted in its factory Bahama Blue as part of the body-off refurbishment completed in 2018. Exterior features include pop-out front vent windows, rubber-topped running boards, chrome bumpers with overriders, and a peashooter exhaust with polished finishers. Close-up photos of the paint and brightwork can be viewed in the gallery. 15" wheels wear chrome VW hubcaps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial whitewall tires. The suspension has been upgraded with KYB Excel-G shocks up front.


The cabin features body-color steel surfaces as well as front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in cream vinyl with gray cloth inserts. Matching two-tone door panels and a cream vinyl headliner are also present, along with gray carpeting protected by black rubber floor mats. Interior equipment includes a glovebox, a passenger grab handle, map pockets, front lap belts, a Sapphire I AM radio, and a RetroSound speaker. An owner’s manual stored in a red leather sleeve is included in the sale along with a tool roll and a collection of spare parts.
