Offered for sale is this 1947 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible “Woodie,” chassis number 7404660. This Woodie is finished in Burgundy over Tan leather with a Tan soft top. Powered by what is believed to be its original 5.3L (323ci) L-Head Straight 8-Cylinder engine mated to a fluid drive transmission. 23,809 miles shown on the 5-digit odometer. Production for the 1947 Convertible was limited to about 3,000 cars.
Since 2017, this example lived most recently in a well-kept private museum/collection based in PA and is sold with a clean PA title. This Woodie presents in excellent condition inside and out with an honest and original undercarriage which is free of rust. The car was refurbished under prior ownership - the condition of the paint, wood trim and brightwork are excellent.
